This shepherd actually went out on a ledge looking for this "lost little lamb". I guess I we were too old to be considered cute little lost lambs. Apparently nobody cares about full grown sheep because after 25 years of regular attendance service and volunteering at quick builds etc at the same Hall, it took over 3 years before an elder came looking for us after we faded. He came on a rainy Saturday morning with the Circuit overseer and boy did they get an ear full. I invited them in and jokingly said "So what took you guys so long ?" I said, "It's been over 3 years since my last meeting which was the memorial of 2008...not one phone call not one person came looking for us. Seems like you're out knocking on doors looking for new recruits while long time Witnesses living only 2 miles from the Hall, are dying on the vine right under your noses." The Circuit Overseer shot a look at the Elder as if to say "how could you have let this happen?"

Well another one leaves the Borg.
by John Aquila ini took a quick trip to the store and i happened to see a young man (about 26-28 years old) who got baptized about the same time i was leaving- about 2 years ago.
a couple of pioneer sisters found him in the door to door work.
one of them, a very attractive girl.

I invited her to fly with me to NY for a weekend to see some theater plays, and I would pay for everything and she said it was wrong to do that. I invited her to go to the San Diego zoo in California for a weekend, and she said that was not wise.
Can't really blame her for that...aside from knowing how as a Pioneer and as a JW this would appear to others, she may have had no interest in him nor the desire to feel obligated to him thereafter because he'd paid for everything.

WT is shorting literature orders by congregation with a problem contributing enough for literature $3500 just for mags
by oppostate inat our meeting last night there was a talk about having run out of magazines for the last three months.
it's expected this will continue to happen.
the "branch" has not sent the requested number of magazines.

In your opinion: What would a teacher of the English language say about the way Anthony Morris III speaks?
by LogCon inconsidering the language, wording and grammar of anthony morris iii, if a teacher on the english language, at a prestigious university were to analyze anthony's public speaking, what comments and conclusions would they come to?
i say public speaking, because i would assume that an individual would be more careful with their words when spoken in public, than in private.
serious comments would be appreciated, however, i realize that outlaw and a few others are probably on a page of their own.. .

I can forgive his grammatical errors and colloquialisms but I can't get past his puckered in mount, the sour puss expression on his face as he speaks and the overall curmudgeonly way about him . Where is his joy??? I've never heard him say anything positive or radiate any sort of contentment. He seems to be bitter and resentful and uses his position to scorn others and suck the joy out of everyone within earshot. -

Arrange not to be home when she gets there. Leave a note saying that it has been your experience that these assemblies, instead of being uplifting, leave her tired and cranky and you don't wish to be at the receiving end of it anymore. Check into a hotel or go on a fishing or camping trip. -

asian jws girls get eyelid surgery, and one girl even got her legs lengthen 5 inches making her about five feet nine inches tall the male jws are getting hair transplants and nose jobs.
and nobody in the congregation says a word, including elders.

Lots of nose jobs, breast implants, lip augmentation, tattooed on make-up, spray-on tan's, laser skin procedures, artificial nails and hair implants over the last 10 years in our area. JW's want perfection and are tired of waiting for it. I'm half expecting people to break down and start buying the pet Lions and Pandas they were promised as children long ago.

Noses growing back will be the least of these medical problems. People with dentures, artificial hips, knees, pacemakers and heart valves will have to stay alive while they grow perfect again. What's it going to be like to eat when their teeth start growing back and they can't wear their dentures or what will they do with the metal hip joint that's bolted to their pelvis when their hip bone starts growing in ? What if you had a terminal cancer when the tribulation started and you somehow survived into the new system but died 3 months later before you had grown perfect?

" so i asked them "so why did he come?".

I could have been born into many different families. Each child must grow up, learn, and decide what to do with their life.
I hear what you're saying but in this thread, we are talking about our own experience within the JW framework . There are worse things that could happen to us of course, but there are also better things that could have happened as well. To compare ones unfavorable experience to someone who has or had it worse is a way of rationalizing things and was what many here did and as a result they prolonged the inevitable. It's sort of like pointing out the much more difficult plight of a blind and deaf person, to teenager with a missing arm who is angry at his parents for not telling him that he could have had a prosthesis all these years. "see....you could have had it worse"
So many people in the past are gone, and that's one thing I wanted to do in the new order, meet EVERY one who had ever lived, ask them about their lives, find out what REALLY happened in history. Now? I can't.
Who say's you can't...if there are good things in store for mankind in the future, there's no reason you or I won't be part of it !
